Ukuku is produced in the northern district of Santo Tomas in Peru. The nature preserve known as San Andres surrounds the 20 small scale farms that contribute to Ukuku. Consistent rainfall and an abundance of flora and fauna from the preserve serve as the perfect setting for coffee growing in northern Peru. The name "Ukuku" is derived from the Andean mythology of the region, tracing back to the story of a bear that protects the community and the environment for the hope of great harvests. Expect a smooth and easy drinker with Ukuku, accompanied by wonderfully morphing notes that are sure to please any coffee drinker.
